The $2.7 million, 9,000 SF district courthouse includes a courtroom, multiple holding cells, vehicle sally port, security check point, judge and administrative offices, jury deliberation rooms, and server/utility rooms. Envision Engineering provided electrical programming as well as design services including electrical engineering, security systems, and lighting design documents. Envision also coordinated with the local power and national communications utility companies to re-route existing medium voltage power lines and intra-state copper and fiber communication lines located directly below the new building.

Envision provided experience and expertise to successfully complete the highly technical and sensitive nature of the security and communications systems which included complete power back-up with emergency generator, intercom systems, access control, intrusion detection/duress buttons, and video surveillance. We coordinated to integrate building technology systems together with a PLC based GUI interface for the security personal to allow for simplified control and smooth operation of the facilities security and detention systems. Envision also followed Utah Judicial Facility Design Standards and met with multiple systems representatives and provided construction administration verify these vital systems were designed and installed properly.
