Steve Poulsen, Industry-Leading Audiovisual Designer Joins Envision

Envision is excited to announce Steve Poulsen as a key Project Manager within the Audiovisual (AV) Design division. Steve brings two decades of industry experience to the role. His expertise spans a broad range of audiovisual design projects, with a keen focus on creating innovative and functional solutions that meet the specific needs of each client.

Steve has most recently been involved in commercial, public, religious, and K-12 educational projects. His leadership and technical skills have earned him a reputation for excellence in project management, ensuring that every project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Throughout his career, Steve has demonstrated a passion for technology and a commitment to staying at the forefront of industry advancements. His ability to seamlessly integrate cutting-edge audiovisual systems into diverse environments has made him a trusted advisor to clients and colleagues alike. Prior to joining Envision, Steve was an AV, Acoustical, and Integration Engineer for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Meetinghouse Facilities Department. In this role, he oversaw the primary design of AV systems during the critical transition from analog to digital video systems for hundreds of meetinghouses throughout the U.S. and Canada; in addition, he served in an advisory role for building AV systems worldwide.

Beyond his technical prowess, Steve is known for his collaborative approach and exceptional communication skills. He works closely with clients to understand their vision and requirements, translating them into practical, state-of-the-art solutions. His dedication to customer satisfaction and attention to detail ensures that every project not only meets but exceeds expectations. "I believe one of my greatest strengths is to provide context for clients," said Steve. Poulsen continued, "By context I mean when clients communicate their AV system wants and needs, I can provide feedback about solutions and consult them in the pros and cons of various AV options that help them to understand what system design and equipment will be the best fit for their facility."

Steve holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah.
