Pilot Training Center
Delta Airlines | Salt Lake City, Utah
Designed to serve as a key training hub for Delta’s flight crews, the $50 million, 50,000 SF Delta Pilot Training Center houses four full-motion flight simulators, as well as classrooms and administrative spaces, all equipped with the latest technology to support Delta’s flight training program, becoming one of the most advanced centers in the region.
Envision provided comprehensive electrical engineering design services to ensure that every aspect of the facility would meet the demands of this high-tech, high-performance environment. This included designing power, lighting, audio-visual systems, security, and fire alarm systems, all tailored to meet the needs of the building's cutting-edge aviation technology.
One of the most important aspects of the electrical design was optimizing power and lighting systems to meet the specific needs of the center. Envision’s team worked closely with MHTN and Delta to develop a design that would accommodate the training center's requirements while maintaining energy efficiency and sustainability.
In addition, the lighting design was customized to provide the right ambiance and functionality for different zones within the facility--whether for the classrooms, office spaces, or common spaces. Envision also designed advanced audio-visual systems for training and collaboration, integrated security systems, and fire alarm systems—all of which work together to ensure the safe, secure, and smooth operation of the state-of-the-art facility.
